The Department of Cannabis Regulation receives a high volume of calls, emails, and contacts on a daily basis. Before contacting the Department, please review information and resources available online.
If you are a person with a disability and require an accommodation to participate in a program, service, or activity hosted by the City of Los Angeles, requests may be made by calling (213) 978-0738 (Voice), dialing 711 for CA Relay, or by emailing DCR.ADMIN@lacity.org at least five business days in advance of the event. We will do our best to fulfill requests received with less than five business days' notice. Copies of documents are available in alternative formats upon request.
DCR Office Hours by Appointment
The Department of Cannabis Regulation is now offering public Office Hours by appointment for individuals to meet with staff from the Licensing and Compliance divisions as well as the Social Equity Program beginning on January 5, 2026. This means that as an applicant, licensee, or interested party, you can book a 20-minute appointment with the appropriate DCR team based on your questions. The new Office Hours replaces the walk-in public counter. Here’s what you need to know about scheduling an Office Hours appointment.

Licensing Team
Analysts in Licensing are best suited to answer questions related to DCR's licensing application processes.
| In-person appointments | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, from 1 PM to 3 PM, and Thursday, 9 AM to 11 AM |
| Virtual appointments | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, from 9 AM to 11 AM, and Thursday 1 PM to 3 PM |
Compliance & Enforcement Team (CED)
Analysts in CED are best suited to answer questions related to DCR's compliance program, including requirements for the Annual Compliance Inspection.

| Virtual appointments | Tuesday from 1 PM to 3 PM, and Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM |
Social Equity Program Team
Analysts in SEP are best suited to answer questions related to the services and resources available to Social Equity Applicants.

| Virtual appointments | Monday and Wednesday from 1 PM to 3 PM |
DCR Office Hours will replace the walk in front counter. Office Hours offer more direct access to DCR staff and information.

- A forum to provide legal advice
- Recommendations on individual business decisions
- Determinations on applications or other modification requests
