Beginning April 5, 2021, the Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) will be changing the operating hours of its Licensing and Information Services (Virtual Public Counter). The Virtual Public Counter will be now available Monday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and closed on Friday.
Virtual Public Counter services include the operation of DCR’s general phone lines and email systems. Three to four DCR personnel will actively monitor DCR’s main phone line during these new regular business hours to ensure coverage.
If staff members are unavailable at the time of a call, calls will no longer be routed to the remaining members of the licensing team. DCR staff will return voicemail messages within three business days to callers who leave appropriate contact information, which includes a full name and phone number.
We are making this operational change in order to dedicate more staff time to license application processes. As such, DCR staff will not be available to answer DCR’s phone line, nor respond to emails on Friday. Instead, on Fridays, licensing staff will be focused on license application processing, virtual inspections, and modification requests.
